Your Laser Hair Removal Treatment Plan
- Shave the treatment area the day of or the day before your appointment — the follicle needs to be intact beneath the skin.
- Do not wax, tweeze, or use depilatory creams for at least 4 weeks before treatment — these remove the hair follicle the laser needs to target.
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 2 weeks prior — active tans increase risk of skin reaction.
- Avoid retinoids and exfoliating actives on the treatment area for a few days before your session.
- Arrive with clean skin, free of lotion, deodorant, or makeup on the treatment area.
- You'll be given protective eyewear before treatment begins.
- Your provider glides the Forever BARE handpiece across the treatment area — most clients feel a warm, mildly prickly sensation, nothing more.
- No numbing cream is typically needed thanks to built-in cooling technology.
- Sessions run 5 to 30 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated.
- Your provider will build a custom treatment plan based on your hair color, texture, and treatment area.
- Skin may feel warm for about an hour after treatment — this subsides on its own.
- Mild redness or slight follicular swelling is normal and typically resolves within a few hours.
